Deploy Django with Docker

Django brings together routes, authentication, an ORM and application administration. Unbroker brings together the infrastructure that application needs: the web service, its database and the supporting processes.

Deploy from a Dockerfile so your Python runtime and production server stay explicit. Keep configuration in service variables and follow the build and running revision in Cloud.

Database and file storage

Choose PostgreSQL operations

Use an Apps node when you want a private database service in your project, or select a provider-managed cluster when you want the provider to operate the host and cluster. Your application continues to own its schema and migrations.

Separate media from application code

Add a persistent volume for an application designed around local durable files, or connect external object storage. Volume-backed services run one replica; use the storage model that fits your concurrency needs.

Give asynchronous work its own service

Move email processing, indexing or other queue-driven tasks into a worker on Pro. The worker can share the application’s database and queue while having its own start command and runtime logs.

You can inspect and deploy the project visually in Cloud or use ubctl from the terminal. The Unbroker agent skill provides a path for operational tasks from your coding environment.
