PostgreSQL

API with PostgreSQL on Unbroker

Deploy an API and connect PostgreSQL in Unbroker. Compare Apps database nodes with provider-managed clusters.

01

Connect services visually

Bring the API and an Apps database node together on the project canvas.

02

Choose your database model

Use a private Apps node or a provider-managed cluster to match your operating needs.

03

Follow the complete release

Keep application deployments, configuration and runtime inspection in the same platform.

Connect an API to PostgreSQL

A working API needs more than a public endpoint. It needs durable records, a reliable connection configuration and a release process that accounts for schema changes. Unbroker gives the application and its database a shared operating context.

Deploy your Node.js API, add PostgreSQL and connect the service to its data. Keep connection credentials in runtime configuration while the code remains in your repository.

Choose how PostgreSQL is operated

A database node in your project

An Apps PostgreSQL node comes with a database image, persistent storage and private connection information. It appears beside the application on the project canvas. This is a useful option when you want direct project-level control and are prepared to manage engine upgrades and recovery.

A provider-managed cluster

Choose a managed database when you want the provider to operate the database host and cluster. Available recovery and scaling capabilities depend on the selected engine, provider and plan. Managed Postgres lists the current PostgreSQL plans and monthly prices.

Database administration

Unbroker supplies an authenticated local tunnel for Apps database administration. You can inspect the PostgreSQL Data tab in Cloud and use runtime logs to investigate the API.

When you add workers or more application services, they remain part of the same project. Use explicit connection pools and runtime variables so the data layer grows deliberately with the application.

Connection tutorial

The tutorial adds a bounded PostgreSQL connection pool and a readiness query to a Node.js API. It walks through choosing the resource, supplying credentials and verifying a query from the deployed application.

Application templates

Deploy Ghost, Flowise, Memos and other apps from the public catalog. Review their service configuration in the template repository.
