Deploy
Deploy an app built with Cursor (and the production checklist for AI-built apps)
Cursor does not host the app. Push the repository to GitHub, create an Unbroker service from that repo, and put secrets in Cloud. The checklist below is what to verify before you send production traffic.

Does Cursor host your app?
No. Cursor is the editor that produced the code. Unbroker builds and runs the service after you connect the Git repository.
A local preview inside Cursor is not a production URL. The public hostname appears after Unbroker finishes a deployment of that repo.
From local repo to a running service
Push the branch you want to run to GitHub. In Unbroker, create a service from that repository and pick a framework preset. Free includes static HTML and managed Node.js. Other framework recipes, a Dockerfile, a container image, a worker, private repository credentials, and a custom domain require Pro.
Set environment variables on the service before the first deploy. Add a database only if the app needs one. Managed Postgres requires Pro and is not on Free. The smallest catalogue plan is 1 vCPU, 1 GB RAM, and 10 GB of storage at $21.21 per month, separate from the Pro fee of $25 per month with $25 of credit. An Apps Postgres node is a different product: a database image you operate as a private service, and it also requires Pro. Attach a custom domain after the default URL responds. Managed TLS for that domain requires Pro.
Production checklist for AI-built apps
An app built quickly in an editor can run before its secrets, data rules, and recovery path are ready. Walk this list on the Unbroker service, not only in the editor.
Free excludes persistent volumes, managed databases, and Dockerfiles. Pull request previews, volume backups, and advanced health checks are Pro features. Confirm the plan before you treat a checklist item as available.
- Keep secrets out of the frontend bundle and out of the repository. Put them in service variables. A preview copies All and Preview variables, never Production-only values, and preview workflows require Pro.
- If the database is one you operate elsewhere, check that product's access rules yourself. Row level security on Supabase is a Supabase setting, not an Unbroker feature.
- Files on the container filesystem should be treated as temporary. A persistent volume survives a redeploy. Volume backups go to an S3-compatible destination you control, require Pro, and a volume-backed service runs one replica. A rollback does not restore a database or a volume.
- On Pro, a failed health check keeps an unhealthy revision from being treated as live. Runtime logs are available on the service. ubctl apps rollback promotes a previous deployment. It does not rebuild the commit.
- GitHub pull request previews require Pro. Closing the pull request removes that preview. Use one before you merge.
Deploy from inside Cursor
The ubctl-ops skill installer is documented for Claude Code and Codex. It is not documented for Cursor. From Cursor's terminal, install and authenticate ubctl the same way you would in any terminal, then run the deploy commands yourself.
Cursor can also connect to the documented Unbroker MCP server. Enable MCP for the organization, create an API token on Pro, and add the configuration below to .cursor/mcp.json or your global Cursor MCP config. Replace the placeholder. Do not commit the token. The documented tools can list projects and services, read deployment and runtime logs, create a project or a public Git service, and queue a deploy. Creating a service does not deploy it.

} Coming from Lovable, Bolt or v0
If the tool can push the project to GitHub, the Unbroker steps are the same as any other repository: connect that repo, pick the preset, and set variables in Cloud. The written walkthrough for that handoff is the Lovable page.
This page does not describe how Lovable, Bolt, or v0 store projects, and it does not claim those products deploy onto Unbroker by themselves. Export or sync to a Git repository you control, then deploy that repository.
FAQ
Can I deploy an app built with Cursor?
Yes. Push it to GitHub and create an Unbroker service from that repository. Cursor does not host the running app.
Is my AI-built app production ready?
Not from the fact that it runs locally. Check secrets, database access, what survives a redeploy, health checks, logs, rollback, and a preview environment before you send production traffic.
Does Cursor have an Unbroker skill?
The ubctl-ops installer is documented for Claude Code and Codex, not for Cursor. Use ubctl from Cursor's terminal, or connect the MCP server documented for Cursor.
What does Free leave out?
Free does not include persistent volumes, managed databases, Dockerfiles, or container images. Pull request previews, custom domains, private repository credentials, and API tokens require Pro. Pro is $25 per month with $25 of usage credit.
