Health checks for managed PostgreSQL
Managed PostgreSQL databases show a health card that flags common problems at a glance.
Open a managed PostgreSQL database and you’ll find a new Database health card with the PostgreSQL version, the database size, connections in use against the maximum, and when the check last ran.
It also looks for the problems that tend to bite later:
- Connections close to the limit
- Long-running transactions
- Tables without a primary key
- Foreign keys without an index
- Tables falling behind on vacuum
The checks only read PostgreSQL’s own statistics, never your rows, and results are cached so they add almost no load.
