Worker services

Choose Worker when adding a service to run a queue consumer, a scheduled loop or any process that doesn’t serve HTTP. Workers have no public URL, but a crash on start still fails the deploy so you notice right away.

Smarter builds

  • Workspace monorepos build with pnpm, Yarn, npm or Bun, installing from the repository root and building from your service’s folder.
  • Private packages from your GitHub organization install during the build, using a read-only package token you add as a variable.
  • A Root directory picker lists your repository’s folders.
  • Build and start commands can be edited after the service is created.
