## Build with Unbroker

- **Dockerfile configuration:** Keep the runtime and dependency installation explicit in a repository Dockerfile.
- **One project for the API and data:** Connect the API to an Apps PostgreSQL node or a provider-managed cluster.
- **Visible release progress:** Follow builds, inspect startup errors and verify the application URL from Cloud or ubctl.

## Deploy FastAPI with Docker

Unbroker builds your FastAPI image from a repository Dockerfile and runs it as a service. Inspect build output, deployment history and runtime logs in Cloud.

Use a Dockerfile to define the Python runtime and Uvicorn startup. The same container shape can be checked locally before you connect the repository to Unbroker.

## Database and worker services

### Add PostgreSQL

Keep durable records in an Apps database node or a provider-managed cluster. Both are available through Unbroker, so you can choose between project-level database control and provider-operated cluster infrastructure.

### Separate background processing

When requests trigger longer work, add a worker on Pro. Keep the HTTP service focused on responding while asynchronous processing has its own configuration and logs.

## Inspect builds and runtime logs

A build failure and a startup failure need different evidence. Unbroker exposes deployment output and runtime logs alongside the service, helping you follow a release from source to running application.

With ubctl, you can deploy and wait for completion from a terminal. The Unbroker skill lets your coding agent use that same workflow, including inspection when a deployment fails.

## Deployment tutorial

The FastAPI tutorial includes a minimal application, a Dockerfile and local container checks. Follow it to configure the service, verify the health route and then connect the data your application needs.

## Choose your plan

Dockerfile builds require Pro. The API, its database and any persistent storage contribute their own usage to your project.
