## Build with Unbroker

- **Keep your Express code:** Deploy the routes and middleware you already use with the Node.js preset.
- **Connect the backend:** Run the API beside an Apps database node, or connect a managed database cluster.
- **Debug the running service:** Keep deployment history and runtime logs within reach when a request fails.

## Deploy Express from Git

Express is a good fit when you want control over routes, middleware and application behavior. Unbroker takes care of the deployment workflow around that server: building a repository, running the service and exposing its application URL.

Keep your existing start script and package manager. Start with a single API, then add the data and processing services your product needs in the same project.

## Connect a database and frontend

### Connect application data

An Express API and a PostgreSQL database can appear together on the project canvas. Connect the database output to runtime configuration and keep credentials outside your source code.

### Serve your frontend

Host a static frontend alongside the API, or connect an existing frontend through the API's public URL. Each service can be deployed independently, so an asset change does not need to become a backend release.

## Inspect builds and runtime logs

Unbroker keeps the service's build output, runtime logs and deployment history together. On Pro, you can add a custom domain, review resource metrics and create isolated GitHub pull request previews.

For teams that work in a coding agent, ubctl and the Unbroker skill provide another way to inspect the same service and wait for a deployment to finish. You can move between the visual project and the terminal as the task requires.

## Deploy a working Express example

The tutorial provides a small API with health and message routes, then walks through service configuration and verification. It also covers the browser-facing details that matter when connecting a frontend: origins, cookies and environment variables.

## Choose your plan

Eligible Express apps using the managed Node.js recipe can start on Free. Production domains, private repositories, previews and adjustable capacity require Pro.
