# Manage Google and GitHub sign-in from your profile

Connect or disconnect sign-in providers from your profile, with improved verified-email matching and provider avatars.

Your profile now has a **Sign-in methods** card for email and password, Google and GitHub. Connect a provider through its authorization flow, or disconnect an existing provider when another sign-in method remains available.

## Keep the same account

Connecting a provider requires a matching account email. GitHub matching now considers the provider's verified email addresses, so a matching verified secondary address can be used even when it is not the primary GitHub email.

## Recognizable profile pictures

Connected accounts use the Google profile picture when available, otherwise the GitHub picture. Disconnecting a provider keeps the current photo.
