# A grace period for failed payments

A failed card payment no longer interrupts your services straight away.

When a payment fails, owners, admins and your billing email get a notice, and your services keep running for three days while you sort it out. We retry the charge automatically on day one and send a final warning on day two.

If the balance is still unpaid on day three, running services are paused. **Nothing is deleted.** As soon as the invoice is paid, exactly the services that were paused start again.

While a payment is outstanding, new resources can't be created.
