# Set replicas and resources from the Scale tab

Choose how many replicas a service runs and how much CPU and memory each one gets.

Each service now has a **Scale** tab where you decide how it runs:

- **Replicas:** run one copy or several. Multiple replicas are spread out, so a single failure doesn't take your app down.
- **Resources per replica:** set the CPU and memory each replica gets.

The dashboard always shows how many replicas are running. Workers and services with a persistent volume run a single replica.
