# Introducing Beacon: realtime for your apps

Beacon adds managed realtime channels to Unbroker Cloud, so your app can push live updates to browsers without running its own socket server.

Beacon is now part of Unbroker Cloud. Create a Beacon project from the **Beacon** section of the dashboard and you get a public key and a secret, plus a quick start with a test token so you can connect in minutes.

#### Channels from the dashboard

- See live channels with their subscriber counts and last value.
- Publish a value to any channel straight from the dashboard, which is handy while you build an integration.

#### Domains and access

- Choose which browser domains may connect, with exact domains or wildcards like `https://*.example.com`.
- Turn on keyless access so browsers can subscribe to public channels with only the public key.

A **Usage** tab shows peak connections and data moved over time.
